This seminar provides a comprehensive foundation in vision therapy, integrating core scientific principles with practical clinical application. Designed for both clinicians new to vision therapy and experienced providers seeking evidence-informed assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Participants will begin with a review of ocular anatomy and visual function, including the complementary roles of the Parvocellular (Ventral) and Magnocellular (Dorsal) visual processing systems. Building on this foundation, the seminar will focus on the clinical evaluation and diagnosis of oculomotor, accommodative, and vergence disorders across age groups.
Through a combination of didactic instruction and hands-on workshops, attendees will develop practical skills in administering and interpreting vision therapy assessments, forming differential diagnoses, and designing targeted intervention strategies. Clinical case analysis will be emphasized as a critical component in developing clinical hypotheses and guiding management decisions.
The course will also introduce structured vision therapy techniques, with guided practice in specific exercises designed to remediate oculomotor, accommodative, and binocular vision dysfunctions. Dedicated breakout sessions allow for application of evaluation procedures, treatment planning, and clinical implementation strategies. In addition, participants will receive practical guidance on integrating a vision therapy program into clinical practice, including workflow considerations and foundational practice management principles
Learning objectives
By the conclusion of this seminar, participants will be able to:
-Describe the anatomical and functional organization of the visual system, including the roles of the Parvocellular (Ventral) and Magnocellular (Dorsal) pathways.
-Select and administer appropriate clinical tests to evaluate oculomotor, accommodative, and vergence function across pediatric and adult populations.
-Analyze case history data to develop evidence-based clinical hypotheses and differential diagnoses.
-Interpret diagnostic findings to formulate individualized vision therapy treatment plans.
-Outline key steps for implementing and managing a vision therapy program within a clinical practice setting.
-This seminar equips participants with both the theoretical understanding (“why”) and the procedural competency (“how”) necessary to deliver structured, effective vision therapy services from evaluation through intervention.
This course is in english! Notes can be translated into Greek and Hebrew as well. If you are interested in other languages, please contact the organisers.
